5 symptoms of "mouth ulcers" see a doctor

There are 5 symptoms of oral ulcers. See a doctor. Or multiple ulcers appear at the same time, and the wound surface is larger than the size of soybeans, but there is no obvious pain, etc., should seek medical treatment in time.

In addition, if there are genital and eye problems after oral ulcers, it is likely to be the triad of mouth, eyes and genitals, which is a typical manifestation of Behçet’s syndrome and cannot be ignored. The mouth is full of ulcers, and it hurts to drink cold water; if you get really angry, you can’t open your mouth and stay up all night for a few days.

It hurts just a little bit, and it’s hard to even speak. That kind of pain is really only understood by people who have had ulcers. Faced with the intractable little disease of oral ulcers, many people suffer for a few days and then pass. But there are also people who have oral ulcers that are always bad and are getting worse.

Some experts pointed out that this may be a precursor to oral cancer! What does repeated oral ulcers indicate? How to deal with this little trouble? Oral ulcers are as difficult as colds. Oral ulcers (commonly known as aphthous ulcers) are the most common diseases in oral medicine. The scientific name is oral mucosal ulcers. It is as common as colds. Almost everyone has experienced ulcers in their lifetime.

In the population, its incidence rate is 20%, and recurrent oral ulcers are the most common. Young and middle-aged people are the most likely to be recruited, and the ratio of male to female is about 2:3. From the perspective of Western medicine, oral ulcer is a hole in the oral mucosa. This hole can be deep or shallow, as small as a grain of wheat, as large as a soybean, or round or flat, with different shapes.

Traditional Chinese medicine has also recorded oral ulcers for a long time, and believes that it is related to the heart, liver, gallbladder, spleen, stomach, lung, kidney, etc., and often occurs when the functions of the above-mentioned organs are disturbed. Therefore, oral ulcers can be a disease name, but also a symptom. Ulcers can occur in many oral mucosal diseases, such as recurrent oral ulcers, oral tuberculosis, oral squamous cell carcinoma, oral lichen planus, discoid lupus erythematosus, erythema multiforme, Behçet’s disease, Crohn’s disease, etc.

Sometimes, it is also a reflection of systemic diseases, such as diabetes, stomach problems, blood diseases, tuberculosis, etc. Clinically speaking, oral ulcers mostly refer to recurrent oral ulcers. Some people have summarized four characteristics for it, namely red, yellow, concave, and painful: the ulcers will be red and swollen around the ulcer, the surface of the ulcer is yellow, and the middle is depressed, which is usually more painful. .

It often occurs repeatedly, sometimes it can grow up to a dozen at a time, and the pain is burning, but it is self-limiting and will heal without treatment at a certain time.

Those oral ulcers that are not obvious in pain, have unclear edges, and do not heal, should be vigilant, as they may be malignant. This is more common in older people. As you age, your body becomes weaker and your immune system tends to become unbalanced, so you have a higher chance of developing malignant diseases.
These bad habits aggravate ulcers. Some bad habits in daily life have great lethality to the oral mucosa.

You may wish to check yourself and correct the following bad habits in order to avoid the trouble of oral ulcers.

1 Working overtime at night with lights on, overwork, and staying up late will lead to a decline in immunity, which is a common cause of repeated oral ulcers. Many young people donate their sleep time to work, online games, etc. So much so that the human body surrenders in the face of mouth ulcers.

2 It is said that there is no spiciness at the dining table, and it is said that the disease comes from the mouth, and oral ulcers are no exception. Among the five flavors of diet, spicy is the most angry. Typical foods include Mala Tang, Red Oil Hot Pot, etc. Therefore, eat less spicy and hot foods such as pepper, raw garlic, green onions, beef, mutton, hairtail and other warm foods, as well as lychees, pineapples, oranges, longans and other hot fruits, even peppers, vinegar, ginger, green onions , star anise, curry and other pungent seasonings.

3 Do not leave your cigarettes and wines in your mouth. If your mouth is accidentally bitten, and you still smoke at this time, it is easy to develop oral ulcers. Because a variety of harmful substances contained in nicotine will adhere to the damaged oral mucosa, interfere and destroy the self-repair of the mucosa, and cause ulcers. If you continue to smoke, all kinds of harmful stimuli will aggravate the disease. The wine is acrid and hot in nature, which will make it worse.

4. Feeling influenced by anxiety When you wake up in the morning or during work breaks, you can take a few deep breaths as long as you feel bad, and breathe out the old and take in the new to help relieve tension. After going to work, think carefully about what you should do today, draw a list, and tick or circle every time you finish one thing, so that you know what you need to do, and slowly adjust your mentality to your work state.

5. Neglecting oral trauma The oral mucosa is also easily damaged by external forces such as teeth and braces, and ulcers appear after rupture. Therefore, some people’s teeth are like broken walls, rubbing the mucosa repeatedly, and some people’s dentures are inappropriate, or Dentures have not been replaced for 10 years, and repeated rubbing of the oral mucosa may cause decubitus ulcers. In addition, it is also necessary to correct bad habits such as biting the lip, biting the cheek, biting the tongue.
