The Spirit of the North Medical Foundation is bringing big smiles to students at Pedder Hill Elementary School.
The “Seal in a Smile” campaign is back again this week.
The initiative is a partnership between the College of New Caledonia, Northern Health, School District 57 and Spirit of the North to provide essential dental care to local children who might otherwise face barriers to accessing oral healthcare services.
The project brings together CNC dental assistant students and instructors with elementary school students to create valuable hands-on learning opportunities while providing critical early dental care.
“We are so proud to be part of this incredible collaboration to help bridge the gap in dental care for children,” said Amy Casey, CEO of Spirit of the North.
The “Seal in a Smile” program provides a positive first experience with dental professionals and helps CNC students advance their skills while giving back to the community. This is exactly the kind of impact-driven initiative that Spirit of the North is proud to be a part of.
The program will launch at the college on Wednesday.
