Hudson Cloud Systems, a leading provider of cloud infrastructure for dental and healthcare organizations, today announced the appointment of Tom Nault as its new Chief Executive Officer. Company founder Behan Venter will transition to the role of Chief Technology Officer and Chairman of the Board, focusing on product innovation, technology strategy and long-term vision.
“Tom has the leadership, experience and vision needed to drive Hudson Cloud Systems into the next phase of growth,” said Behan. “Tom and I have known each other since 2008, and I believe he is the right person to lead our team and continue to deliver transformative technology to our customers.”
Nault is a seasoned technology executive and entrepreneur with more than four decades of experience founding, growing and leading high-performing companies.
In 2003, Nault founded Dashlight Systems, LLC, an intellectual property holding and technology commercialization company focused on Bluetooth technology.
The following year, Dashlight acquired Open Interfaces North America (OINA). As Chairman and CEO, Nault led OINA in the development of Bluetooth software that was incorporated into iconic devices such as the Apple iPhone and the Motorola RAZR.
Under his leadership, OINA achieved several industry firsts, including demonstrating the convergence of Bluetooth and Ultra-Wideband (UWB). OINA was acquired by Qualcomm in 2007.
Following this success, Nault founded Middlerock Partners, LLC in 2016 to focus on corporate transformation and management consulting.
He served as a federal court-appointed corporate trustee for ten years and has served on the boards of 17 companies in the enterprise technology, financial and consumer sectors. Notably, he served on the board of directors of Numerix, Inc., which was acquired by Genstar Capital in 2022.
