Axel’s appointment comes after a strong year for The Smilist, which has seen the company add more than 50 new locations and enter multiple new states and regions. Axel has over two decades of leadership experience in healthcare, most recently as Senior Vice President at DaVita, with a proven track record of driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and building high-performing teams.
He possesses a culture-driven leadership style, a forward-thinking perspective, and a strategic ability to scale organizations while creating long-term value for stakeholders.
