ZimVie Inc., a dental implant and medical technology company based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, recently announced the official launch of its Immediate Molar Implant System in the U.S. This new product is designed to address the unique challenges faced during the restoration of immediate molars.
According to the company, the system is based on ZimVie’s TSX® and T3 PRO® implant platforms and is designed specifically for immediate implant placement in the molar area, integrating optimized solutions.
The system’s dedicated instrumentation allows for more efficient implant preparation after molar extraction, improving control and predictability when multi-root implants are placed.
The product features a large-diameter implant structure designed to improve initial stability in the molar socket. In addition, the implants use ZimVie’s patented DAE coronal surface technology, which is said to reduce the risk of peri-implantitis by up to 20%.
At the same time, these implants are fully compatible with the company’s existing restorative components, which can help clinics using the ZimVie system save additional costs.
The Immediate Molar Implant System aims to shorten the overall treatment period by about 50%, compared to the traditional treatment process that usually requires a healing period after tooth extraction before implant placement.
“The launch of the Immediate Molar Implant System is an important milestone in our continued advancement of dental technology,” said Vafa Jamali, CEO of ZimVie.
We continue to expand our implant system product line to address the challenges of molar restoration, provide patients with faster and more economical treatment options, and ensure that the treatment results are more controllable and longer-lasting.”
