Dentistry. One, the virtual care-focused dental solutions company from MouthWatch, Inc., has become the first and only dental telehealth company to achieve Digital Medicine Society (DiMe) certification.
This certification solidifies Dentistry. One’s position as a preferred partner for employers, health plan providers, and benefits brokers. Through its virtual care platform, Dentistry. One is helping partners improve dental care quality, access, engagement, and health outcomes.
The DiMe seal of approval is only awarded to platforms that undergo rigorous, independent audits for clinical evidence, user-friendliness, privacy and security, and fairness.
This honor demonstrates Dentistry. One’s commitment to providing high-value, safe, and convenient dental care, and its continued investment in scalable, patient-centered care models.
“DiMe’s certification validates our vision since our founding – to create a virtual dental care platform that delivers true clinical value, protects patient privacy, and expands access to services,” said Brant Herman, Founder and CEO of Dentistry.One.
“This certification also sends an important message to our partners: Dentistry. One is not just about convenience, but also about providing reliable, safe, and health-enhancing care.”
In addition to its nationwide network of licensed dentists, Dentistry. One has introduced artificial intelligence tools such as SmileScan™, which allows users to get a personalized oral health report in minutes by just taking a few photos with their smartphone.
The platform also provides oral health coaching, second opinions, multi-language support, care coordination and other services, further simplifying the process of users meeting their oral and overall health needs.
In addition to receiving DiMe certification, Dentistry. One has also become compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to ensure the secure handling of sensitive patient information.
Additionally, it has received SOC 2 Type 2 certification, with independently audited controls validating the platform’s capabilities in system security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
“Our partners not only look to us to deliver care, but they also trust us to protect every patient’s health information,” said Sharity Ludwig, senior director of clinical operations at Dentistry.One.
“Becoming a HIPAA and SOC 2 Type 2 certified platform is not just a choice, it’s a strong demonstration of our commitment to trust, data security, and clinical excellence.”
