Owandy Radiology Inc., a manufacturer of dental radiology hardware and imaging software, has launched a new app called Oral Health Report. The app is part of the company’s IOS software suite and is designed to work with the Owandy IOS 3D intraoral scanner.
The Oral Health Report app uses artificial intelligence to generate digital impressions and assessments based on 3D scans of a patient’s mouth. According to the company, the scans are generated in real time and in true color, and the AI also assists in highlighting areas that may require clinical attention.
“This new app allows dental professionals to scan the hard and soft tissues within the mouth and then create a comprehensive, easy-to-understand oral health report with a single click,” said Boris Loyez, vice president of North American sales and marketing at Owandy.

The app includes several features, including: AI-powered 3D scanning for diagnostic purposes; visualizations designed to improve patient understanding; and one-click report generation that can be digitally shared via QR code or secure link.
In addition to developing treatment plans, the app also provides information designed to help patients make oral health decisions. The company also said that the tool is designed to promote clearer communication between dental professionals and patients.
The AI Oral Health Report application has been integrated into the latest version of Owandy’s iOS software.
