6 reasons for bleeding gums

There are quite a lot of people. Whenever they brush their teeth, they can find red blood mixed in the toothbrush and the white foam of toothpaste; they even eat fruit and bite steamed bread. Leaving bloody teeth marks; even after kissing a couple forcibly, you will also feel a bloody taste in your mouth. What disease signal is this? So what are the causes of bleeding gums? There are many reasons for gingival bleeding, which can generally be divided into local causes and systemic causes.

Reason 1. Localized bleeding of the gums is common in patients with gingivitis or periodontitis. In addition, hyperplasia of the gums can also cause local bleeding of the gums.

Reason 2 is that there is a shallow gingival sulcus between the edge of the gums and the teeth. When the oral cavity is not clean, many decayed, soft and sticky food residues are often accumulated in the gingival sulcus, which is mixed with a large number of bacteria. Forms soft tartar. After a long time, the minerals separated from saliva are deposited in the tartar, which will form hard calculus, also called calculus. These soft tartar and hard tartar (i.e. calculus) constantly stimulate the gums, coupled with the continuous invasion of bacteria, it will cause inflammation of the gums, which manifests as redness and swelling of the gums and ulceration of the gingival margin. As long as a little touch, it will cause bleeding.

Reason 3 In addition to gingivitis (or periodontitis) can cause local bleeding gums, gingival hyperplasia can also cause local bleeding gums. Some young people have swollen and bulging gums due to uncleanness of the mouth. Pressing the gums with fingers has a softer feeling. This kind of hyperplasia of gums can cover 1/3 to 1/2 of the tooth surface, which can cover tartar and calculus under the hyperplasia of the gums, thus causing frequent gingival bleeding. Taking drugs to treat epilepsy, etc. can also make the gums grow. Reason 4 Some people like to brush their teeth with a large hard-bristled toothbrush, especially the horizontal brush is more likely to cause local bleeding. There are also improper use of toothpicks, unreasonable dentures, sharp irritation on the edge of the cavity, and hard food residues with impaction, etc., which can also cause local gingival bleeding. Reason 5 Under the same conditions, people who have been deficient in vitamin C for a long time are more prone to gum bleeding than ordinary people after encountering the above-mentioned stimuli due to the increased fragility and strong permeability of the capillaries of the gingival tissue. Eating more vegetables can increase the body’s intake of vitamin C. input. Reason 6. Among those with bleeding gums, another part is caused by systemic diseases. Such bleeding gums are often one of the signals of systemic diseases, such as hemophilia, hemorrhagic purpura, and thrombocytopenia. There are also some systemic diseases in the later stage, which can cause low blood coagulation function or severe anemia, and symptoms of gingival bleeding, such as liver cirrhosis, hypersplenism, late stage nephritis, disseminated lupus erythematosus, etc. Bleeding gums are also a prominent symptom of scurvy.

Now most people mistakenly think that brushing teeth is just brushing teeth, but in fact, the correct brushing should be cleaning teeth and periodontal tissue, which includes the gums. If you only brush your teeth without cleaning the periodontal tissue when brushing your teeth, dirt will accumulate at the junction of the teeth and periodontal tissue for a long time, and the dirt will cause inflammation and cause inflammation. Inflammation can cause small blood vessels in the periodontal tissue to dilate, which can rupture and bleed when brushing and touch, resulting in bleeding gums. At the same time, when the periodontal tissue is inflamed, it will be accompanied by pain, and every time you brush your teeth, you will deliberately avoid the inflammation site. In the long run, it will lead to a vicious circle. To prevent bleeding gums caused by periodontal local inflammation, the key is to learn to brush your teeth. To choose a toothbrush with moderate hardness, remember to thoroughly clean your mouth when brushing your teeth, and it is fundamental to remove the dirt accumulated in the mouth. Finally, Vice President Zhou Lei reminded the public that if the bleeding gums are caused by systemic factors, they should go to a specialist hospital for treatment in time.
