Orthodontic innovator DynaFlex has announced the integration of 3D Systems’ next-generation metal 3D printer, the DMP Flex 200, into its digital manufacturing product line.
Featuring a powerful 500W laser source, a larger build platform, and industry-leading surface finish, the DMP Flex 200 is designed for high-precision, small-scale dental applications, including 3D printing components such as dental bands and other custom fixed appliances.
According to DynaFlex, the system is able to print with fewer supports and less material, reducing post-processing and per-part costs, while also speeding up turnaround times for clinics across the country.
“Thanks to our trusted partnership with Nota3D and 3D Systems, we have expanded our metal printing capabilities with the powerful DMP Flex 200, increasing production speeds by 80 percent,” said Matt Malabey, director of operations at DynaFlex, in a press release.
Key features of the DMP Flex 200 include:
Faster Production Time: 3D metal print ribbons used with fixed appliances print up to 80 percent faster.
Enhanced Workflow Automation: Integrated Oqcam software automates positioning, nesting, marking, and support generation.
Cleaner, Safer Operation: Advanced chamber sealing and powder handling designs minimize contamination and improve user safety.
Broader Material Capabilities: Compatible with high-performance dental alloys such as LaserForm CoCr, Stainless Steel 316L, and Ti Gr23.
Darren Buddemeyer, Owner and President of DynaFlex, added, “This upgrade increases our capacity and ensures that every fixture we produce is delivered on time and with guaranteed quality. With this technology, we are better equipped than ever to meet our customers’ needs with speed, precision and reliability.”
Malabey continued, “The latest laser technology, automated tools and improved onboarding capabilities allow us to scale smarter and faster. This is a strategic move for DynaFlex that not only improves quality and speed, but also optimizes every touchpoint in our workflow.”
As DynaFlex continues to advance in orthodontic and dental manufacturing innovation, the addition of the DMP Flex 200 reflects its ongoing commitment to providing faster, more reliable, and more precise solutions to labs and clinics.
