HuFriedyGroup’s recently launched PWR Pair piezoelectric scaler and air polisher provides all-in-one, versatile air polishing capabilities for every clinician and every patient. PWR Pair offers users powerful capabilities, including the removal of supragingival and subgingival calculus and stains, biofilm disruption, and implant cleaning.
P IEZO + AIR = PWR PAIR
The PWR Pair piezoelectric scaler is designed for calculus and biofilm removal and features an advanced feedback system that allows clinicians to perfectly control performance for improved results and comfort.
Remove supragingival and subgingival biofilm and stubborn stains with the PWR Dual Head Air Polisher. The PWR Air Polisher also helps remove food particles and plaque trapped between a patient’s teeth.
HuFreidyGroup’s piezoelectric technology provides comfort for patients and clinicians. Features of the Piezoelectric Scaling Solution include:
Slim LED Handle – The PWR Pair features a lightweight and slim piezoelectric handpiece with a round LED light to prevent the “fogging” effect caused by irrigation cavitation.
500 ml bottle – The PWR Pair 500 ml bottle is illuminated so you can easily identify the remaining liquid level. The 500 ml bottle also allows you to use different medications, such as chlorhexidine for periodontal treatment or sodium hypochlorite for endodontic treatment.
Three different power zones – The PWR Pair includes periodontal, endodontic and restorative treatment functions. These three power zones enable the PWR Pair to be used on more patients.
Pulse Mode – The PWR Pair Pulse Mode (Level 5 of the Restorative/Prosthetic function) transforms the traditional sine wave-shaped piezoelectric oscillation (standard function) into a new profile characterized by specific power peaks to optimize performance for extractions and prostheses.
Irrigation System – PWR Pair includes two irrigation lines that allow for the flexibility of using water (via tap or 500 ml bottle) or medication solutions to improve ease of use and reduce clinician downtime.
Soft Mode – Soft Mode avoids excessive piezo oscillations, making the piezo tip movement gentle and efficient. This results in virtually painless treatment for patients and optimal comfort for clinicians.
Another benefit is continuous performance monitoring. The PWR Pair feedback system continuously and optimally regulates the movement of the PWR Piezo tip, automatically detecting and adjusting the required power based on clinical needs. The company says that reasonable power usage enables the fastest, most effective treatment while reducing treatment time.
Because not all patient situations are the same, HuFriedyGroup offers a comprehensive range of PWR Piezo tips that are compatible with its PWR Piezo and PWR Pair devices.
PWR Toothpaste Pair • Air Polishing
The PWR Toothpaste Pair utilizes PWR Prevention Powder in combination with air and water to remove supragingival and subgingival biofilms and stubborn stains from everyday food and beverages. Air polishing also helps remove interproximal biofilm and food debris.
The PWR Pair includes three different slim air-polished handpieces: 90°, 120°, and Perio. Made of steel, the handpieces are less likely to crack, allowing clinicians to operate with confidence, with fewer interruptions and less time to change handpieces.
The device also provides continuous airflow to help prevent blockages. This also reduces interruptions and the time needed to unclog the line.
Air-Polished Handpieces and Powders
Clinicians can use the PWR Pair 90° and 120° angled handpieces to optimally operate in periodontal pockets up to 5 mm deep. PWR Pair Perio handpieces feature the disposable, sterile PWR Subgingival Perio tip (included in PWR Pair) to provide optical access in periodontal pockets deeper than 5 mm.
The pneumatic polishing handpieces are easily installed with a single click and feature a dedicated secure connection system for a secure and reliable fit.
PWR Preventive Tooth Powders are formulated to remove supragingival and subgingival biofilm, stains and pigmentation while treating peri-implantitis and cleaning prosthetic and restorative materials.
Products include PWR Perio Tooth Powder (glycine) and PWR Classic Tooth Powder (sodium bicarbonate), both available in mint and neutral flavors. The company’s specially formulated PWR Preventive Tooth Powders also have a hydrophobic effect to help reduce clogging in PWR Pairs.
In addition, HuFriedyGroup’s EverCare service and repair PWR program ensures your PWR device is maintained for optimal performance.
