The American Dental Hygienists Association (ADHA®) and GoTu, a leading dental staffing marketplace, announced a new partnership designed to create actionable opportunities for dental hygienists across the U.S. At the heart of this collaboration is a shared commitment to supporting the mental health, professional development, and career mobility of registered dental hygienists (RDHs).
This strategic alliance reflects broader trends in the dental industry—prioritizing whole-person care for providers and building stronger pathways for advocacy, education, and community building.
GoTu is ranked #42 on the Inc. 5000, #31 on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™, and was recently named the fastest growing dental company by Becker’s Dental + DSO Review. With a proven track record of innovation and growth, GoTu is an ideal partner to advance ADHA’s mission.
As burnout rates continue to rise in the dental hygienist workforce, ADHA and GoTu are launching initiatives designed to directly address the challenges facing today’s dental hygienists. The partnership will feature mental health workshops, ongoing advocacy, educational events and resources focused on supporting the well-being and career development of dental hygienists.
“Our collaboration with GoTu comes at a critical time for dental hygienists across the country,” said Erin Haley-Hitz, RDH, BDS, MS, president of the American Dental Hygienist Association (ADHA). “The pressures and challenges facing our profession require not only increased awareness, but also tangible solutions.
By working together, we are providing meaningful support for mental health, career development and practice mobility that reflects the real needs of today’s dental hygienists and provides them with more options to shape their careers on their terms.”
In line with this commitment, GoTu emphasizes the importance of meeting hygienists where they are—providing the tools, flexibility and a strong support system.
“Dental hygienists are the backbone of preventive care, but they also carry an invisible burden,” said Ed Thomas, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of GoTu. “This partnership with ADHA aims to address these challenges head-on, providing them with tools, resources, and a stronger sense of community to ensure they feel supported at every stage of their career.”
The partnership will further expand ADHA and GoTu’s shared priorities through a range of collaborative initiatives, from health programming and thought leadership to increasing awareness and access to license mobility.
Central to this is increasing visibility and education for the Dentists and Dental Hygienists Compact, a critical step in unlocking cross-state practice opportunities and modernizing the way hygienists move and work.
“This partnership is action-based,” said Cary Gahm, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of GoTu. “We are committed not only to raising public awareness, but also to creating meaningful opportunities for hygienists to lead change, focus on their well-being, and shape the future of the profession.”
Together, GoTu and ADHA are building a more sustainable future for dental hygiene—one where health, mobility, and empowerment are part of the job description.
