PDS Health has officially launched a new division, PDS Health Technologies, which is focused on providing technology solutions, revenue cycle management services and operational support to healthcare organizations.
Over the past decade, PDS Health has invested in infrastructure to promote the development of integrated data-based healthcare services and has successfully deployed the Epic® electronic health record (EHR) system in its partner clinics to integrate dental and medical records and provide more comprehensive patient health information. Currently, the system is in use in more than 1,000 clinics.
With the establishment of PDS Health Technologies, the company has promoted its Epic Community Connect service to external healthcare providers, enabling more healthcare organizations to use this shared medical and dental EHR platform and obtain corresponding training, technical support and system management services.
“PDS Health Technologies continues our long-standing commitment to providing healthcare providers with systems and expertise that enable integrated, connected care,” said Stephen E. Thorne IV, founder and CEO of PDS Health.
By extending these capabilities to a broader healthcare network, we accelerate the adoption of smarter, more integrated solutions that improve the way healthcare is delivered.”
In addition to EHR services, PDS Health Technologies also provides revenue cycle management, technology and operations consulting, and talent support for implementation and leadership development.
The division is led by Preston Raulerson, who has more than two decades of experience in healthcare technology and has served in a number of organizations, including Optum, The Advisory Board Company, Clinovations, Epic Systems and Bon Secours. As president, Raulerson is responsible for the overall management of the company’s strategy and operations.
It is reported that PDS Health Technologies’ goal is to simplify the operation of healthcare services by integrating records, optimizing processes and providing operational support.
