Elizabeth Gosnell, DMD, MS, has been appointed as the new Director of Cincinnati Children’s Division of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, effective August 1. She succeeds Sarat Thikkurissy, DDS, MS, who will continue providing patient care at the institution.
Samir Shah, MD, MSCE, Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs and Education, praised Dr. Thikkurissy for his exceptional leadership and commitment. “We are grateful for Dr. Thikkurissy’s dedication and are pleased he will continue working with our patients,” Shah said.
Dr. Gosnell, a board-certified pediatric dentist and AAPD fellow, brings significant experience and leadership. Her research focuses on managing children with special needs, and her achievements include developing an infant oral health care program and improving radiation safety in pediatric dental care.
Dr. Gosnell will focus on advancing clinical and research programs, identifying emerging trends, and recruiting top talent. She previously worked at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Her appointment is seen as a significant boost to the division’s leadership and mission.
