DentaQuest, a Sun Life US company, announced today that it has once again been awarded URAC accreditation for dental plans. URAC is an independent organization recognized as a leader in advancing healthcare quality by setting high standards in clinical practice, consumer protection, performance measurement, operational infrastructure and risk management.
URAC’s accreditation reinforces DentaQuest’s ongoing commitment to quality care, efficient processes and improved patient outcomes.
“This honor is a testament to DentaQuest’s continued commitment to excellence in dental care and service,” said David Healy, president of Dental at Sun Life US. “It affirms our ongoing efforts to advance quality, improve outcomes and provide exceptional value to our members and partners.
As we continue to innovate and grow, this honor solidifies our leadership in dental benefits administration and our commitment to improving oral health for all.”
URAC accreditation involves a comprehensive review of an applicant’s policies, procedures and other organizational information to ensure compliance with nationally recognized standards and evaluates dental plans as well as other healthcare organizations. The award is valid until January 1, 2026.
“URAC’s dental program accreditation underscores the institution’s commitment to high-quality health care in the areas of risk management, consumer protection and empowerment, operations and infrastructure, and performance management and improvement,” said Shawn Griffin, M.D., URAC president and CEO. “We are honored to recognize DentaQuest’s achievements in these areas.”
