Kowloon East Legislative Councillor Deng Jiabiao said that the “AI Dental Checkup Service into the Community Development Plan” has been launched since mid-December last year. The Chinese Women’s Association in Yau Tong also responded today to join and provide services to the elderly in the Yau Tong District. 60 elderly people received services today.
It is understood that the plan will promote the Gum AI artificial intelligence oral health APP testing service in Kwun Tong District to voluntarily help the elderly improve their oral health. The APP was developed by the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong. The original intention of the development was to alleviate the shortage of dentists in Hong Kong and the problem of the elderly not being able to receive timely treatment. After the volunteers receive training from the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong, they can simply follow up on the oral care of the elderly through the APP and provide effective improvement suggestions.
