Smile Doctors, the largest and fastest-growing orthodontic support organization in the United States, is pleased to announce the addition of six new affiliate clinics and one De Novo clinic, further strengthening its nationwide partner-led orthodontic care network.
These partnerships were finalized in the first quarter following the company’s March 20, 2025 announcement of the acquisition of myOrthos, an orthodontic service with more than 70 clinics.
The Smile Doctors network has added 16 new locations, with the following 6 practices joining:
Hatcher & Frey Orthodontics (Virginia) – led by Dr. William “Bill” Hatcher, Dr. Scott Frey, Dr. Gregory Hutchins, and Dr. Valerie LaScala
Local Orthodontics (Tennessee) – led by Dr. John Marshall Jewett
Hughes Orthodontics (Virginia) – led by Dr. Justin Hughes and Dr. Herbert Hughes
Zambrano Orthodontics (Florida) – led by Dr. Jaime Zambrano and Dr. Michael Karp
GO Orthodontics (Mississippi and Tennessee) – led by Dr. R. Todd Gililland, Dr. Shawn O’Bannon, Dr. Morgan W. Gonder, and Dr. Shane Radford
Eberle Orthodontics (Kentucky) – led by Scott J. Eberle Dr. Leadership
Dr. Scott Frey of Hatcher & Frey Orthodontics said, “We are excited to join a network of like-minded orthodontists who are committed to providing exceptional results and compassionate care. Partnering with Smile Doctors gives us access to a world-class support system so we can focus on what matters most—our patients.”
In addition, Dr. Amanda Gallagher has partnered with Smile Doctors to open a new office in The Village of Cross Keys in Baltimore, Maryland. The office opened in January, marking Amanda Gallagher Orthodins’ fifth office in Maryland.
“The process of opening this brand new office in Cross Keys has been our smoothest yet. Every detail of our office and treatment experience has been carefully designed to make our patients feel welcome, valued, and cared for,” said Dr. Gallagher.
“I love creating spaces that not only reflect the quality of orthodontic care we provide to our patients and families, but also create an immersive aesthetic that makes everyone who walks into the office feel like they are outside of the traditional dental or medical model. Patients appreciate this, and this experience is part of our strategy to grow our practice.”
As of the end of the first quarter of 2025, Smile Doctors now supports more than 550 practices in 36 states, which Smile Doctors CEO J. Hedrick said has laid the foundation for extensive future growth.
“At Smile Doctors, we are committed to supporting growth—whether it is through organic growth, strategic alliances or greenfield growth,” said Hedrick. “Our strong ability to scale and strong operational support make this expansion possible.
The Smile Doctors model is designed to empower our orthodontists so they can pursue their vision and continue to provide transformative care to the communities they serve.”
