Dandy, the fully digital dental lab, today launched a new set of real-time visual collaboration features for its groundbreaking dental chairside and case management software. Dentists and lab technicians can now plan and review cases over interactive video calls, ensuring the highest precision in the production of dental restorations.
With traditional communication methods, important case details are often lost between the office and the lab in a tangle of emails, phone calls, and paper documents.
Dandy’s digital workspace connects dentists and lab technicians in real time, as if they were in the same room, so everyone can review and agree on the case before it is submitted for production.
Dandy’s first-of-its-kind real-time design review feature brings the case to life on screen using detailed 3D visualization technology. Dentists can work with experienced Dandy lab technicians to work on cases together, request revisions, ask clinical questions, confirm adjustments, and approve designs with complete confidence.
Dentists can start a follow-up appointment with a Dandy technician in minutes or schedule an in-person appointment on a convenient date. Dandy also offers dedicated case planning sessions to plan complex restorations, and implant planning sessions with surgical specialists.
By working with the lab and sharing digital/CAD models, dentists can refine designs before Dandy begins production, creating predictable clinical outcomes and avoiding surprises during the visit. This all adds up to an enhanced patient experience and confidence for the dentist.
Dr. Alexander Rabkin of Westwood Dental Partners said, “I recently experienced Dandy’s Live Design Review feature and it was amazing! I’ve never seen a lab review a case with the technician in real time.
It’s incredible – the technology is impressive and the booking process is so seamless. The customer service is fantastic.”
Live Design Review is Dandy’s latest innovation in the digital dental workflow. Dandy offers advanced 3D intraoral scanners at no additional charge and provides on-demand scan reviews during the patient visit.
Its 100% digital, U.S.-based dental lab uses artificial intelligence, 3D printing, and other cutting-edge technologies to create restorations with extraordinary speed and precision.
Dandy Co-Founder Daniel Hanover said: “Dandy has always been committed to providing customers with excellent service and results. Real-time video collaboration is a natural extension of this commitment, giving dentists direct access to expert support when they need it.
By making collaboration faster, easier, and more accurate, we are helping practices deliver better care while growing their business.”
Existing customers can now get early access to these new features.
