Dentsply Sirona, the world’s largest diversified manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, has renewed its partnership with Women in DSO®, extending its commitment through 2025.
Women in DSO® is a nonprofit organization dedicated to recognizing the contributions of women throughout the dental industry and promoting female leaders in dental service organizations (DSOs).
“Dentsply Sirona walks the talk when it comes to building equitable teams,” said Dr. Aman Kaur, Founder and CEO of Women in DSO. “It’s an honor to work with such empowering leaders within the company. They will continue to be great partners as we expand our mission globally.”
As a founding member, Dentsply Sirona supports Women in DSO® by providing mentoring and speaking opportunities, as well as access to key industry events including DS World.
“This renewed partnership reflects our unwavering commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and supporting an industry where everyone has equal opportunity to thrive,” said Andrea Frohning, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Dentsply Sirona.
“Today, more than 55% of dental school graduates¹ in the U.S. are women, a clear sign of change in the industry. This partnership further solidifies our commitment to supporting women’s growth and success.”
Dentsply Sirona also continues to work with the National Dental Association and Paradigm for Parity® to further promote inclusion across the dental industry.
As part of a comprehensive inclusion and engagement program, these efforts led to Dentsply Sirona recently being named one of Newsweek’s “America’s Most Responsible Companies” for the fourth consecutive year.
Dentsply Sirona was recognized on this prestigious list for its commitment to sustainable dentistry and its work to improve oral health access for those in need around the world.
Related news: Dentsply Sirona has designated May as Inclusion Month, which aims to promote inclusion and boost employee engagement across all of the company’s global teams.
Throughout the month, the company will invite employees to participate in global inclusion initiatives, encourage them to learn more about their Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and how to get involved, and raise awareness of unique backgrounds, experiences and personal profiles.
One of the highlights of the month-long initiative was the successful Global Understanding Dialogue event held in early May. Themed “Inspiring Cross-Cultural Inclusion,” the event was hosted by Melanie Jenkins, Global Inclusion and Engagement Director at Dentsply Sirona, and brought together many voices from across the company.
Together with attendees, they celebrated cultural diversity in the workplace and promoted inclusion and belonging across the company’s global teams.
Dentsply Sirona has also launched a digital Inclusion Pledge Wall, where employees from around the world can sign to personally commit to promoting inclusion and understanding in the workplace and beyond.
Dentsply Sirona currently has nine Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) with over 4,100 members actively participating in these communities. All Dentsply Sirona employees can sign up to join any of the ERGs.
“We conducted an internal survey that revealed the impact of these groups: employees participating in ERGs consistently report higher levels of connection, engagement, and workplace satisfaction,” said Andrea Frohning, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Dentsply Sirona.
In other words: Employees who feel valued, heard, and appreciated are more engaged, thrive, and perform at their best. These findings once again demonstrate how critical inclusion and engagement are to both individual well-being and business success.”
