Mark Stephen Pace, Chairman of the German Dental Industry Association, said: “The International Dental Show has once again exceeded our expectations, and we are very happy.
Overall, we find that the German dental industry is very well positioned on the international stage and at the forefront of innovation.
This is also reflected in the strong interest in innovative products and system solutions. The International Dental Show is the North Star of the global dental industry.”
Oliver Frese, Chief Operating Officer of Koelnmesse, the organizer of the International Dental Show, also gave high praise: “The International Dental Show 2025 was a complete success in all aspects.
It shows that Cologne is not only the birthplace of the dental industry, but also the place to shape the future. As the world’s leading trade fair, the International Dental Show is both a platform for sustainable development, high-quality care and global partnerships, and a driving force.”
In addition to focusing on technological advances, the exhibition also emphasized professional dialogue and cooperation. Prof. Christoph Benz, President of the German Dental Association, said: “At a time when technological advances and digital solutions are developing rapidly, it is more important than ever for us in the dental community to work together.
The International Dental Show provides us with the opportunity to exchange best practices so that our patients can continue to receive local dental care with minimal barriers in the future.”
Dominik Kruchen, President of the German Association of Dental Technicians (Verband Deutscher Zahntechniker-Innungen), also emphasized the importance of the exhibition: “For many dental laboratories, the International Dental Show remains the leading trade fair.
Here, laboratories carefully examine new technologies, materials and workflows to find game-changers in prosthetic dentistry. They do this with the forward-looking vision and expertise of entrepreneurs.
When making investment decisions, they think carefully and focus on practical applications. The many interns in the exhibition hall clearly show that the next generation is already preparing for their role in the future of prosthetic dentistry.”
Accepted by OEMUS at the exhibition site Speaking to MEDIA, Tom Tilmans, Director of Sales and Marketing for EMEA at ClaroNav, summed up his company’s experience at IDS: “We always look forward to attending IDS and it never disappoints.
New innovations come not only from formal interactions in the booth but also from informal exchanges in the evening. We will return with enthusiasm to process orders, consolidate new partnerships, and prepare for more important moments in 2027.”
Juan Roma, CEO of Corus Dental, told Dental Tribune International: “IDS provides us with the ideal platform to showcase our latest innovations.
The show not only allows us to strengthen industry collaboration, but also to show the industry how our digital ecosystem is changing workflows. It is also a great opportunity for us to interact with dental professionals looking for future-oriented integrated solutions.”
At the show, Dr Per Falk, the new CEO of GC, told Dental Tribune International: “The scale of IDS is amazing.
Even though I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 25 years, I have never been able to do so. … Overall, there has been little innovation in the industry, but one exciting development is the rise of biomaterials, such as our synthetic bone graft substitutes.
These materials offer promising alternatives to animal-derived products with consistent quality and scalability. Looking ahead, I expect major advances in dental materials and treatments.
Hopefully, by the next IDS, we will see a wave of new products that will further enhance patient care and treatment outcomes. ”
The next International Dental Show (IDS) will be held from March 16 to 20, 2027, organizers announced.
