Delta Dental of Washington has entered into a new partnership with Dentistry. One, a virtual-first dental care solution from MouthWatch, LLC, to provide virtual dental care options to more than 4 million Delta Dental of Washington members.
Through this partnership, Delta Dental of Washington members have 24/7 access to Dentistry. One’s suite of virtual care services, including live video consultations, asynchronous photo reviews, and AI-powered SmileScan, which uses artificial intelligence to track a patient’s oral health.
Members also have access to a national network of expert dentists, including eight dentists and dental care consultants in Washington state, who provide tailored recommendations and seamless in-person care coordination when needed, including evening and weekend appointments for dental emergencies.
After the virtual care appointment, Dentistry. One will share the member’s oral health report directly with their preferred dentist, if available. For members who don’t have a dentist, Dentistry. One can assist them in finding a nearby dentist and scheduling an in-person visit as needed.
“Our partnership with Delta Dental of Washington represents the future of oral healthcare – seamless, convenient, and patient-centric,” said Brant Herman, Founder and CEO of MouthWatch and Dentistry.One.
We are excited to offer Delta Dental of Washington members an innovative benefit that makes it easier than ever to access care, increase member engagement, and protect member health.
Dentistry. One is designed to meet the evolving needs and goals of oral health by delivering a new standard to improve member experience and outcomes while making care more accessible to members.”
“This partnership further demonstrates Delta Dental of Washington’s decades-long commitment to innovation and equity in dental care,” said Diane Oakes, Chief Mission Officer of Delta Dental of Washington.
“Collaborations like this bring us closer to our goal of making good oral health accessible to everyone and leaving no one behind – including many rural communities where dental care is underserved.”
This partnership combines Delta Dental of Washington’s mission to remove barriers to healthcare and improve overall health with Dentistry. One’s ecosystem of virtual technology and services to provide patients with a whole new path to care.
For patients with chronic conditions, this means easier access to dental services, which can significantly improve their overall health.
Dr. Derek Weigand, a dentist at Dentistry. One, said: “With virtual consultations, we can identify potential oral health issues before they become serious, triage them immediately, and schedule in-person care when necessary.
For groups such as those with diabetes or pregnant women, this proactive approach can be truly life-changing.”
