Convergent Dental announces the launch of the Solea® Perioguide™, a new application for its Solea® full-tissue dental laser.
Designed to help general dentists perform safer, minimally invasive and effective periodontal treatments in their daily practice, this innovative technology eliminates the need for sutures and provides minimal discomfort, helping to ensure ongoing care and treatment compliance.
“The Solea Perioguide opens a new chapter in periodontal care,” said Robert L. Gershon, CEO of the company.
It provides dentists with an easy-to-use, minimally invasive treatment method that is patient-friendly while maintaining excellent clinical outcomes, giving them the confidence to manage periodontal disease themselves.”
The Solea Perioguide has been clinically proven to be effective. Research led by Dr. Myron Nevins and Dr. Marc L. Nevins showed that teeth treated with this technology with initial pocket depths of 7 mm or more experienced an average reduction of approximately 4 mm, with some cases experiencing a reduction of 7 mm.
Even more impressive is that 98% of the treated teeth maintained a periodontal pocket depth of less than 5 mm 9 months after surgery, demonstrating the long-term stability of this treatment.
In addition, histological analysis of some of the extracted teeth also showed signs of new bone formation and connective tissue reattachment, further supporting its efficacy.
“Periodontal disease is both common and difficult to treat, and many dentists refer patients because traditional treatments are complex and invasive,” said Jeffrey Rohde, DDS.
The Solea Perioguide changes that. Not only does it allow me to perform treatments efficiently in my office, it also improves the patient experience.
I also use it for crown lengthening and extractions, making it a versatile and powerful tool that greatly enhances the value of my investment in the Solea system.”
Dr. Monica Lara-Cordoba, who specializes in periodontitis and implantology, also shared, “I have been using the Solea laser for periodontal and peri-implantitis treatments since 2019 with excellent results.
To date, I have performed over 1,200 periodontal procedures, about half of which involved bone grafting. I have achieved effective bone regeneration and even saved teeth and implants that were not otherwise saved.
The launch of the Solea Perioguide means that more dentists will be able to provide patients with effective treatments in a more minimally invasive way.”
With the introduction of the Solea Perioguide, Convergent Dental It is pushing periodontal treatment into a new era of greater intelligence, comfort and efficiency.
