Aspen Dental announced today that Dr. Mithila Sharma, DDS, DDS, has been named Director of Clinical and Restorative Support. Dr. Sharma is a successful Aspen Dental practice owner.
Dr. Sharma joined Aspen Dental in 2013 as the lead dentist in Danville, IL, and quickly focused her career development on Aspen Dental’s practice owner program, ultimately becoming a multi-practice owner. Over the years, she has provided high-quality care to thousands of patients in the Chicagoland area and mentored dozens of clinical and support staff.
Dr. Sharma’s impact extends beyond patient care—she has played a key role in piloting innovative technologies within the practice, including 3D printing and digital implant systems. She is one of the top 20 dental implant providers within the Aspen Dental network and is recognized as an expert user of surgical guides.
Her passion for education and mentoring also led her to serve as Senior Faculty Advisor at the TAG Oral Care Center of Excellence, where she collaborates with Dr. Sundeep Rawal, Senior Vice President of Implant Support Services, and Dr. Nassif Youssef, Director of Implant Restoration and Educational Support at the TAG Oral Care Center, to train clinicians across the country in implant dentistry.

A graduate of the University of California, San Francisco with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Dr. Sharma’s passion for providing high-quality patient care remains unchanged. During her tenure at Aspen Dental, Dr. Sharma has been involved in several community outreach programs both nationally and internationally through the Healthy Mouth Movement and has been active with TAG Oral Care Center in Chicago. She also currently serves on the board of directors for a nationally recognized clear aligner organization.
In her new role, Dr. Sharma will support Aspen Dental’s Implant Dentistry business unit while serving as the Director of Clinical and Restorative Support for Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan.
She will provide category-specific guidance to support physicians and oral surgeons within the Aspen Dental network. Her focus will be on driving clinical excellence through support from diagnosis to implant treatment.
