Dr. Amanda N. Seay, DDS, FAACD, an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) for more than two decades, was named President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) last month at AACD’s Annual Membership Meeting.
AACD President and Certified Fellow Dr. Seay has been an active member since 2002 and brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her new position.
She became an AACD Certified Dentist in 2014 and a Certified Fellow in 2019, reflecting her commitment to excellence in cosmetic dentistry.
She maintains a full-time private practice in Charleston, South Carolina, focusing on comprehensive restorative dentistry. Dr. Seay officially assumed this new position on March 13, 2025, serving as a clinical instructor at the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Seay is a member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and is a Fellow of the American Association of Dental Aesthetics. She was named one of the Top 25 Women in Dentistry by Dental Product Report in 2012 and received the Lucy Hobbs “Women to Watch in Dentistry” Award in 2015.
She was named one of the 32 Most Influential People in Dentistry in 2021 and 2022, serves as Restorative Editor for Inside Dentistry, and is one of three national directors of the Seattle Study Club.
The AACD is an international association of approximately 3,000 dental professionals dedicated to advancing the art and science of comprehensive cosmetic dentistry and advocating for the highest standards of ethical conduct and responsible patient care. “We are very much looking forward to what the future of Dr. Seay’s tenure as president will bring to the AACD and all of its members,” the society said in a press release.
