Women We Admire, one of the fastest growing professional women’s networks, has named Alisa Ulrey, COO of the United States Society of Oral Surgery Management (USOSM), as a top COO. Ulrey is ranked No. 20 on the organization’s list of “50 Top Women COOs for 2025.”
Nominations for the award came from across the United States and Canada and recognizes women COOs who have demonstrated excellence in leadership and operational management.
The Women We Admire website states that the 2025 honorees “are shaping the direction and success of their organizations… While their specific responsibilities vary by industry, they all play a central role in driving strategic alignment, streamlining processes, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration.”

As COO of USOSM, Ulrey oversees day-to-day operations, designs and implements business strategy, sets performance and growth goals, and develops policies that promote the company’s culture and vision. She is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience leading two of the nation’s largest Fortune 500 companies to success.
Previously, Ulrey served as President and COO of the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD). Prior to that, she held leadership positions at CVS Health and Target for several years. Ulrey graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business administration.
Ulrey is an active business mentor, both in the healthcare industry and beyond. She also volunteers with Women in DSO, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing female leaders in the dental industry.
She is a frequent guest speaker at industry events, sharing insights on topics such as improving workplace decision-making and implementing operational improvement programs. Outside of work, she is involved with the Collin County Animal Shelter and frequently adopts dogs, with a particular focus on hard-to-adopt dogs.
