Air Techniques has introduced an innovative water line test kit called CleanStream, designed specifically for dental offices, that can quickly detect microbial contamination in water systems in just 15 minutes.
The kit provides clinics with a convenient and efficient way to initially screen for common bacterial, fungal and biofilm contamination issues in water lines.
The CleanStream kit can detect contamination levels in water samples exceeding 500 CFU/mL without the need for laboratory testing or traditional culture.
Users can simply read the results based on the color-coded scale to determine the status of the water quality. This instant feedback mechanism greatly shortens the clinic’s response time to water hygiene.
The test system is compatible with a variety of dental water line maintenance products on the market, including straws, filters, tablets and other office water treatment equipment, making it flexible and adaptable.
“Patient safety is a shared responsibility within the dental industry. With this quick, easy-to-use test, clinics can quickly identify if their plumbing systems are contaminated with potential pathogens, taking the first step toward ensuring patient safety,” said Nicole Miller, Dental Hygiene Product Manager at Air Techniques.
The CleanStream water quality testing solution is not only economical and practical, but also provides test results comparable to traditional laboratory testing, providing an important reference for clinics’ daily operations.
Its launch provides the dental industry with a powerful tool to quickly identify risks and improve infection control levels.
Air Techniques continues to provide a wide range of product lines for dental clinics, including operating systems, digital imaging equipment, and consumables, covering small community clinics to large medical institutions.
